The Movie Rise of the Lycans seems to be quite popular these days, probably like any other vampire werewolves story, a lot of violence and sexual tension. Some say this movie is the best of all three.

it seems there is a plot hole in the Underworld 3 story:

Lucian has at the end Sonja's necklace, the key to William's cell, but if can remember in Underworld 2, the key wasn't made until Selene's family made William's cell, and then her family was killed...
so by that logic, Selene should have been made already, yet this is supposed to be way before that. Viktor could and probably did lie about William still being out there, since we never actually see him....but if the key exists, so too should Selene, yet she doesn't.

The Da Vinci Code 2006 720p BluRay x264-BestHD

is there any truth in the Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code? When you read the book, it kind of makes sense, the story that Jesus was a normal human being, with no special godly powers, that he was jus a profet with normal needs, that's why he got married and had kids.

By the time I read the book, a few years ago, everyone was moved in one direction or the other by Brown's ideas. they wanted to linch him, they wanted to praise him for his vision. new religions were born, the pope and the catholic church wrote vehement and virulent articles and books that demonstrated the heretical lies described in the book.
The movie the da vinci code, today released in Bluray quality from BestHD, tried to put the book and the ideas in images, Tom Hanks did a great acting job, like always, but somehow the movie seemed like just a normal action movie, with some twists and thrills, but not so convincing.

Didn't see this movie, I read a review for the The Day the Earth Stood Still that said I can safely skip this one, my life will be the same without seeing Keanu Reeves in this sci fi remake. But still,

some viewers seem to find the film amusing:
"Laughter makes the almost two hours not a total loss. But I don't think, somehow, that "The Day The Earth Stood Still" was meant as a comedy. They must have realize however, that having John Cleese as the scientist was bound to provoke some giggles. Keanu Reeves is priceless as the wooden, expressionless alien. A great, unintentional, comic creation. Kathy Bates, in pantsuits if you please, plays the American Secretary of Defense and the whole thing doesn't have a single ingredient of the elements that made the Robert Wise original one of the classics of its genre. The visual tricks are good but repetitive and rather confusing. I must admit I wasn't bored I was just puzzled. "

Slumdog Millionaire 720p Blu-Ray x264-REFiNED

is Slumdog the best movie of 2009? it looks that way, the film received like all the possible Academy Awards, this was the winner, it's in the Top 250 movies on IMDb.
Surprisingly, Slumdog Millionaire
is a indie film, very low budget, unknown actors, mostly indian actors. The result is refreshing, you can learn a lot from this film, about life, about human relashionships, and you also get to see how is it to live and survive in India (not so promising actually).

During the premiere of the final cut (in the words of director Danny Boyle) at the Toronto International Film Festival, the audience gave the film an incredibly enthusiastic response, and it went on to win the People's Choice Award. Boyle, who is sometimes called a British Richard Linklater for yet again surprising the audience with such diverse subject matter, worked his magic. He transcended genres and created a truly unique and energetic picture.


The story is quite straightforward:
The tale of two brothers' lives is told to us through episodic flashbacks tied to an episode of India's "Who Wants to be a millionaire?". At first, the story introduces one of the brothers as being the subject of a very strong interrogation to find out whether he is being truthful about some knowledge that might be relevant to the game. As he answers the questions, we discover that this young man's life story might be more interesting than we originally expected.

The performances are quite good. Irrfan Khan finds the right balance between a tormentor and a quasi-father figure as the police officer. There's young Dev Patel as Jamal, playing with confidence, bringing a wonderful swagger to his role, as well as a sense of fear that we completely understand. Freida Pinto as the love interest is superb. And, of course, there are the three young ones. Perfectly cast, they actually make the film work. Their performances as Jamal, Salim and Latika are so utterly convincing that they completely draw us into the picture and make the jobs of the older actors playing them much easier.

Rahman and the excellent choices made when it comes to the pop music included in the film (though that is to be expected from a Danny Boyle film), I find the indian sounds quite interesting, at the oscars all present were quite impressed from the theme song:

The Spirit Blu-Ray 720p x264-SEPTiC

Another Frank Miller movie, is this better than 300 or Sin City? Definitely not, The Spirit seems to me more like a copycat. The Spirit still gets good points for the high definition blu ray version, the images are as clear as they get. And of course, let’s not forget the cast,

it’s always fun watching Samuel L. Jackson, cool guy.
I couldn’t decide who looks better, Eva Mendez or Scarlett Johansson, although Scarlett is my favorite since I saw her in Match Point. What do you think? Nice Scarlett tribute:

Fast and Furious 4: Blu-Ray Release – Part 1

New Model. Original Parts. Or is it? Muscle guys, muscle cars, hot chicks, and incredible action sequences. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker – so not so much changed.

The Movie is still fast, still furious; the plot is not that original, but maybe for the fans of the first movie it will be nice to see the two leads back playing their roles.

Far Cry 2008 720p Blu-Ray x264-BestHD

Till Schweiger as Jack Carver, the hero from Far Cry the game? Anyone played the game? 

The Game Far Cry was a revolutionary thing in the game industry, the crisp graphics, the best imagery, the reality feeling, the jungle green, the original monsters and enemies, the real action, all this made me lose a lot of evenings playing the game levels.
