This is definitely Johnny Depp's great comeback in the action movie world. Somehow I didn't click with his other work so far, and with that I mean Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland. What was the point of all those movies? Even the Pirates movies, come on, are they comedies or are meant for little children?

You want to see the real Johnny Depp, go watch Donnie Brasco, Blow or even Secret Window. those are real movies, and now with Public Enemies, together with Christian Bale (another great actor that played in Dark Knight and Terminator 4) they play the famous bank robbers and cops that tried to catch them. so a good choice for your bluray collection.
The film goes like any other biography movie of those crazy years, half reality, half fiction. The director Michael Mann tries to put Dillinger in a good light, showing a bit of his personal life, his affairs, his women, his roberries. of course we don't know how much is the truth. Somehow we should not really care, it's fun to watch.
I'll let you know when you can get this movie in bluray quality, I think it's worth the wait.
